Metroid Prime 2D is currently in a frozen state. Development has stopped on the GameMaker demo of MP2D. The latest version (3.1) of the GameMaker MP2D demo can be downloaded below.

There are no more demos planned of the GameMaker version of MP2D at this point.

However, this does not mean that MP2D is dead. Development still continues on another version of MP2D, which will make use of MetEngine. This version of the game will surpass the GameMaker version in almost every way.
